It's a Texas thing!
It's part outrageous, part super fun- homecoming mums show up each fall for football and it's one of my favorite times of the year!
Mums (for the girls) and garters (for the boys) come in all shapes and sizes. My favorite ones to make are super customized to the recipient showcasing their activities, favorite things and talents.
They can range in price from under $100 to over $1000 (whew) and everywhere in between! It's not necessary to break the bank to get a custom, specialized, beautiful mum.
Most of the time, the more sparkle the better- but it's okay to ask for a little less glitter!
Don't be afraid to ask for what you want! Even if that's a cow... emerging from a bedazzled Starbucks cup
